I think it was so bad they had to do something. It was obvious the CC and CLM marriage was not working even with a QB change. The play calling was too vanilla and didn't worry anybody. Also this gets rid of the speculating about firing CLM. They can talk to agents freely without having to respond to the firing Les rumors and potential HC's know the situation at LSU in knowing that discussions with LSU are legit and not dependent on whether CLM turns the season around. So they get a jump on other teams needing a coach. So it was a good move. I'm surprised it was so soon.
Now lets.watch this rookie Dallas QB win a game tonight. You know the QB that wanted to play at LSU so bad and LSU turned their noses up at him because he didn't fit their style. It makes me laugh, now this guy is starting NFL games.
Pretty sure the story went that he was not recruited by us until late in the game and he had already committed to moo u. I read an article with quotes from him. Can't find it now. He said something along the lines of since he had already committed to Moo U by the time LSU offered him he decided to honor his commitment. He was not highly recruited. But none of that excuses the fact that Les and company have sucked at recruiting QBs.
It's going well, I'm enjoying it. Not working, somewhat looking, but not too hard. Wife's cancer returned, so it's good to be around while she goes through pretty nasty chemo.
Well-stated! I have watched outstanding LSU teams for the past ten years, teams with a wealth of deep talent, then cried in frustration as they went undeveloped, uncoached and without convincing wins. How many times did we witness LSU charge onto the field (with their customary enthusiasm) only to watch the team "sleepwalk" through the entire first half--only sporadically coming alive to get enough points to squeak out a win? Teams with our depth should have been dominant throughout four quarters--and throughout the SEC and beyond. “Death Valley: the place where opponents’ dreams come to die.” Here's hoping!!! GEAUX TIGERS.
Yes they did. That was a team overcoming some adversity. How will this team respond? Although two totally separate situations
