I couldn't figure out who Les Miles reminded me of from LSU days gone by. Then it hit me. Charlie McClendon. We will be competitive and may win a couple of games against top rated opponents. We will have good recruiting class but that will not necessarily transfer to wins on the field. Under Miles going forward we will win 8-10 games per year and generally be in the top 25. We will on occaision finish in the top 10. Is that good enough Tiger fans?
Are you guaranteeing that we'll only finish in the top twenty five with around 8 wins because Miles looks like McClendon ?:hihi:.
we stand a good chance of finishing in the top 10 this year. that would be 4 out of 5. sounds more like consitent that "on occasion"
I don't love Miles, but he is good enough. What is the point for this post? McClendon win % .690 Miles win % .792 Miles has the second most bowl wins in school history and is 3rd in overall wins. If McClendon was good enough with .690 win% then that makes Miles .102% better. So I guess Miles is 10% better than "good enough".
there is alot more Parity in the SEC and CFB than there was back in CHolly Mac's day. Back then Bama's 2nd string could start anywhere else in the SEC. I was around during Cholly Mac's days and I do remember he was excellent at clock management and play calling. Bama just was way above anyone else, talent wise. We still played them close on occasion. Miles isnt anywhere near as good as Cholly Mac. If you EVER watched Cholly Mac's teams they were disciplined.
