Les Miles reminds me a lot of Dick Vermeil when he was with the Chiefs, minus the high powered offense. However each were willing to call whatever play it takes to win the game. Vermeil was one of my favorite coaches ever because of the emotion that he showed. I love Les Miles(NH) because of his complete FTW(F the world) attitude.
This is a quintessential human spirit gesture. Les is a shaman. Les is a voodoo priest. Les is a Christian all wrapped in one. Many of us do a similar thing every week when when we celebrate the Eucharist. We connect to the body of Christ by taking communion. This is no different of a ritual. Les Miles is an amazingly complex, unique human being who is consciously connected to every moment he lives. If we all did the same, our lives would be richer than they are right now.
pretty philosophical there, buddy. i like it! CLM becomes more endearing to me as this particular season progresses. i always liked him, and thought he was a great man, but was becoming frustrated first with the co-DC thing, and then the inept offense the last 3 years. but this year, i have decided to focus on what we do well, and enjoy LSU football again. but CLM has come into own this year, and i respect him even more than i did. i am proud he is our coach, and happy that he beat CNS at LSU! he was also quite complimentary to ALA/CNS after the game, a not so surprising classy move by him!
It's obviously the ritual whatever voodoo queen has made him perform in order to contol the black magic at the backend of games. Just a part of the LA heritage in him.
What happens when we play a game on artificial turf? Les must have a bag in his pocket of the good stuff from Tiger Stadium.
i knew there was a reason i liked him so much. never could figure it out. he is a fan of the grass in baton rouge. i myself, am a fan of the grass in baton rouge. small world.
