I don't believe this. The bigger issue was when Lee hurt his wrist and LSU became unable to move the ball. We had 80 TOTAL yards in the 2nd HALF. 38 yards in the 3rd quater. You can't blame our defense for being tired after they played almost the last 30 minutes of the game.

If we would have had just a few long, sustained drives in the 2nd half it would eaten the clock, rested our defense, and kept AU off the field. I put this loss far more on our offense (and CGC) than I do the defense.

yeah i don't buy it either. We held the best college football player i have watched since Vince Young to 24 points. the defense was tired from being on the field the whole damn game because our offense couldn't move the damn ball in the 2nd half.

Exactly, especially when you look at the stats. The total yrds difference in the 1st half was only like 17 more for AU than us. AU made halftime adjustments that shut down an already suspect offense, and we couldn't sustain drives like we were in the 1st half, which resulted in the D being on the field too long. BTW TOP was substantially more in our favor in the 1st half. We had the ball close to 18 mins in comparison to 12 for AU. Obviously that got completely turned around in the 2nd half.

Surprise, surprise, another sh*tty thread from the ULL fan. What need is there to defend him? The record speaks for itself.

If you hate Les Miles, you hate success.

Urban Meyer has three SEC losses, Richt three SEC losses, Saban has one SEC loss and Miles one SEC loss. Chizik has zero.

Who here was clamoring for Chizik when he was hired? Nobody....

Miles is a good coach, has a winning record here and is struggling because we have no qb....

Yes, it's a bitch but Chizik got his ass handed to him by LSU without Newton.

QB play makes all the difference. We need a qb and then we are a Nat'l Title contender. We are one player away....why can the coach....why not just get a qb?

He has the highest winning percentage of any LSU coach since 1909. Only Bernie Moore and Cholly Mac have longer tenures and in today's climate they wouldn't have lasted as long as Miles.

Consistent Top 5 recruiting classes. I have seen too many LSU coaches come and go and only Saban recruited at the level that Miles does.

In his first year with a good OC, LSU won the West. His second year with a good OC LSU became Sugar Bowl Champions. His third year with a new OC (keeping much of the prior offense in tact for a senior QB), LSU won it's 2nd National title in five years. The past three years with said new OC have been disappointing.

With good coordinators, Miles exceeded Saban's success at LSU and was the first LSU coach to ever win 10 games in three consecutive seasons. With a new OC, he can do that again.

LSU has only lost more than 3 games once in his six years. In year four, he had horrible coordinators on both sides of the ball and LSU still won 8 games.

I like Miles, but my allegiance is to LSU. I say it is better to work with the "devil" you know than the devil you don't know. Be careful for you wish for. [Insert any other euphemism that applies]

    Spot on.

We'll get to 10 wins (or more) this year and finish in the Top 15 if we beat Arkansas.

Miles gets a new OC and line coach in the off season.

Our talent will be better utilized on offense and in 2011 we have a shot at winning the SEC.

You had to wait until 1/2 the season was over to show your ass. We don't have a QB. That is the reason for QB by committee. Miles is a damn good coach. I support him.
