yep. i pretty much expected suckyness from the offense, but was surprised (in a bad way) about the d and that they had no answer to newton.

 

Sub 300 guys........ shocker. Not directed at you Fish, just an observation.

 

+1 Dont understand that. Its like we were afraid he would throw for 330 on us.

 

Should Les have gone out on the field and helped the D tackle? Should he have gone out and helped the WR's catch. I saw poor execution by our players today.:milesmic:

 

the D scheme that we sent out on the field was so "scared" of newton that we played deep prevent all night long. or at least 2nd half. this guaranteed they would rip off 8-9 yrds a carry with talent.

Yes Les phucked up on that 4th down but Aub outplayed us and ate our defenses lunch. We lost to a better team (player?) and thats the bottom line. Coaching was not the reason we lost today. We just got beat and quite frankly were lucky for it to be as close as it was. Their offense blew us away, especially in the 2nd half. If it was for that field position they could have won by 21 or more.

 

Can't blame Miles? Who recruited the qb's?

 

You know how 3D movies have that weird double image on the screen and depending on what kind of glasses you have on you see the movie differently. Apparently the game today was broadcast like that and depending on which glasses you wanted to use you could see the game you wanted to see. Cause you guys don't seem to have seen the same game.

I'm glad I watched it on my TV because I got to see two great football teams go toe to toe for 3 quarters before the stronger team, who was playing at home, finally wore down the visitors.

I knew there would be a lot of the Les = Dumb posts because that's just as dependable as what's gonna happen tomorrow if I eat a lot of fiber today - and they have a striking resemblance.

If your a Les = Dumb person please answer these questions honestly:

1. Did you expect the CLM/GC directed offense to drive and score a touchdown at the end of the first half?
2. Did you expect a tied game at the half?
3. Did you expect a half back option pass for a touchdown from CLM/GC?
4. How did you feel about being wrong about 1, 2, and 3?

As far as the defense not showing up comments I know we missed tackles but they did bend and not break for 3 1/2 quarters and only give up 17 points. That's pretty good against that offense. Because from what I saw today Newton > Tibow. Faster, more maneuverable, and a better arm.

We got beat today. Their offensive beast wore down our defense and their defensive beast wore down our offensive line. I saw Fairly physically over power a double team like it wasn't there - that was a shock.

The 4th down play looked bad, was bad, but thats not why we lost. They were the better team today. Honestly, I don't think Alabama will beat them either.

We lost a hard fought tough game to a top 5 team that was better than us. Man up and admit it.

For those of you that worry about how the rest of the world thinks of us take solace in the fact that they probably think more highly of us than they did before.

 

Right, it was much worse than what the score indicates.
