dont blame that all on GW, the offense stuttered for a lot of the game. 4 turnovers gives a playoff team a 10% chance to win. defense got winded. Jenkins couldnt cover davis. That simple.
If Williams stays he needs more from the D-Line. Would guess that the Saints may try to go for Jack Del Rio though maybe? Should be a good year for the Saints and the Tigers for this years season though. Nothing to be embarrassed about for the Saints. They played a hard fought game against a good team. I think they'll make the adjustments over the off season. :geauxtige Saintslogo
5 turnovers and a freakin blitz with about 1 min left in the game from their own 30 yard line.....wow saints did not deserve to win that one!
Not that simple. GW was blitzing Smith on his own 30 or 32 with :40 seconds to go. And he was letting Malcolm Jenkins get torched by a tight end, all night long. Jenkins is a CB, not a S. He needs help over the top. Adjust early in the game to cover Davis or double him, and then Gore gashes the crap out of you. But with 40 seconds left and Alex Smith all confused out there looking like JJ at the end? What a disaster. The reason I am not more upset is because we had no business being in this game with 5 turnovers anyway. GB and NE would have blown our doors off if we turned the ball over like that.
yeah but I wouldn't put all the blame on Greg Williams. Saints D doesn't have elite personnel, just average. And they have spent a bunch of high draft picks on offense
Gregg's contracts up and he will probally end up with his buddy jeff fisher in st louis. (He's from missouri too i think.) Mike nolan or spags wouldnt be bad hire either.
