    Coach Miles

I just want to say thank you to you and your family for your service to LSU and the State Of Louisiana.. You will always be a LSU Tiger and I am proud of what you accomplished at LSU.
And I am not talking about the Natl Championship and all the other football related accolades. I mean guiding the kids entrusted to you through the journey of life with a role model to look up too and representing LSU with a spirit and class that will be hard to replace..

And there was much to celebrate during your time at LSU. It has been an adventure to follow the Tigers under your direction. I don't have children but if I did I would have entrusted them to you in a second. That is the greatest compliment I can pay you.

I have seen in my early life the toll Coaching can take on families and friends. I hope the way your time ended does not spoil the wonderful memories of many great times at LSU.

You will be forever remembered in LSU fans thoughts and prayers and I will always consider the time you were at LSU one of the best periods in our history. You take your place along the greats of Tiger History .

I know you are hurting but time heals and you will move on to new challenges. I hope LSU will invite you back to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the 2007 National Championship next year.

You are a great man and speaking for myself it has been an Honor having you as the Head Coach for the LSU Tigers.

God speed on your lifes journey.
