Everything is relative, my friend. Fact is, he's turned every program around that he's landed at. You can scoff at the fact that it was the MAC and the Mountain West but the fact still remains that he had the same, if not less, amount of talent as the other teams in those respective conferences. The fact that he turned them all around immediately is testament to his coaching abilities.

Let us not forget, if the improbable doesn't occur last season, we aren't even talking about Miles with a NC at this point.

My aim is not to discredit Miles and his exceptional coaching abilities, but I'm simply stating that it's not outlandish to rank Meyer above Miles at this point.

Agreed. All this talk about LSU having THE best talent in the country over the last 5 years is all media hype. Like red stated, UGA, Texas, USC, OU, Florida, and maybe even Ohio State and Michigan have recruited just as well and in some cases, better.

I disagree with the above assessment. I believe that Omar Jacobs and Alex Smith at the quarterback position - both recruited by other coaches - were head and shoulders above other players within the rest of the conference.

Meyer is the champion at winning with other people's recruits. Teblow might have won the Heisman, but Meyer hasn't won any championships with a team he recruited yet.

Everyone missed on Alex Smith because Reggie Bush was in the same backfield as he was in 2002. :)

Give it a rest. Meyer had two one-point victories in 2006 as well.

We can go on about this all day, but Meyer simply isn't a better coach than Miles.

Now you sound like the rest of the country when talking about Miles.

If you're implying that the scenario that played out for Florida to get into the NC game is a parallel to the scenario that played out for LSU to make it in, then those purple and gold shades are clouding your view. My reference had nothing to do with close wins had by LSU, go back and refresh your memory to the events that played out at the end of 2007. People like you are simply unable to see things in an objective light.
