"Florida is coming off a relatively disappointing season, which explains why Tressel ranks ahead of Meyer despite the Gators' one-sided victory over Ohio State in the national title game two years ago." but LSU isnt coming off a relatively disappointing season.:milesmic:
How can you put Meyer ahead of Miles? Each has a BCS-NC. Miles is 34-6 in 3 seasons, Meyer is 27-9 in the same period. And Meyer's record for pampering problem children on his team is much more relevant to his overall coaching ability than, say....
Taking nothing away from Miles, cause I really like the guy, but I think most would rank Meyer above Miles. I don't have a problem with it.
The players did not do so bad either. RB: Richard Murphy - #23 WR: Demetrius Byrd - #9 TE: Richard Dickson - #11 OL: Herman Johnson (G) - #7 Ciron Black (T) - #12 Brett Helms (C) - #20 DL: Ricky Jean-Francois (T) - #8 Tyson Jackson (E) - #16 ST: Trindon Holliday (K) = #20
14. Mark Mangino , Kansas The buzz: Can anyone explain why Mangino wasn't mentioned as the first choice of any school that had a coaching vacancy this offseason? The answer here is simple. Relocation costs will be through the roof. You have to buy 3 seats on the plane for him or you could ship him cargo which will be costly. Then you have to deal with the specially designed for the obese living quarters. The only way he'll leave Kansas is to take the Notre Dame or Maryland jobs. Those markets are sure to have at least one house that is equipped with extra wide doorways, steel reinforced foundations and cheeseburger dispensers.
I do, after we won the NC this past season. You have to put Miles ahead now based on each coach's respective accomplishments at their schools. In addition, each has been at his school the same amount of time. Miles 1 SECC 1 BCSNC 2 SEC CG appearances 34-6 overall record Meyer 1 SECC 1 BCSNC 1 SEC CG appearance 27-9 overall record
