Did I hear it wrong? Les said to the media that if he fortunately has Cam Newton in his team, he would have made Cam Newton the 3rd QB??! What is he thinking? I really have no idea what Les means by that.
Out of context. He was asked who would be the scout QB in practice, so who would be the "Cam Newton" on the team, for the defense to prepare for. In Les Miles speak, he said that it would be "our 3rd QB." I took it as Shepard. Also, if that is what he meant, would you really expect Miles to trash his own QBs and say "Oh MAN! I wish we had that guy instead of the two crappy ass QBs we have now! We'd be MADE!"

I certainly have questions about why JJ gets so much playing time as well. Les is a coach that just doesn't make fast changes. Hopefully this game will allow Lee to make an unquestionable case that he should be the starter to Les, although he has already made that case to most Tiger fans.

maybe he just said that to give his guys confidence. Seriously everyone just needs to stop taking Miles so literally. He is 99.9% head games. The sooner you realize that, the more sane you will be.
