how could you forget the two big fights under curley? the racial thing during david duke's run for Gov and the fball team fight with the bball team. fyi, the writer in question is a LSU guy. run/pass stats from florida game 1st half run --17 for 62= 3.65 avg (take out two big runs and its 2.7) pass-- 7 for 56= 8 avg (take out one big pass and its 5) 2nd half run --8 for 35 = 4.4 pass --14 for 40 = 2.9 if youre going to be really honest, we are only talking about a couple plays. 1-in the first half should have passed more, one the 3rd and 1, if you are going to go for it on 4th, then pass on 3rd especially since the previous two plays were rushes. 2-the first series in the 2nd half was a sack but id find it hard for clm to find too much fault with so much time left to play. in the 2nd half most of the passes were 3rd and 4th down with average yard to go = 12.3. 4 series. yards to go on 3rd downs were---16, 22, 3, and 13. the problem---2 sacks and 3 penalties. in the 1st series, the first play was a sack (3 and out). 2nd series, 2 rushes=first down, then rush, then sack on 2nd and 5. 3rd series, rush for 7 then incomplete pass (3 and out). 4th and last series the D left the underneath stuff open so passing worked
You said LSU lost big, you need to try reality and stop bullshytting to make your point. I never said the game was in doubt, you said we lost big, which is nonsense.
Sugarcoat it any way you like. Domination is domination. LSU got dominated, which in my book means they lost big. Heck, even Miles said, "It's hard to believe the score wasn't worse, the way we played." I'm glad you're feeling warm and fuzzy about LSU's "close" loss to the Gators.
Definitely feeling warm and fuzzy, just tired of your nonsense. 28-3 is losing big, not 13-3 with a touchdown that should have been called back. maybe that doesnt register in your brain.
BS. The day I let Todd McShay or Tim Brando tell me how to think about football, they will shovel dirt over me. :insane:
OK, then under Mike Archer and Curley Hallman. The point is that dissent like this mostly happens to losing teams, not teams in the top-10.
Is there anybody on TV or radio whose opinions are worth a damn, Red? Or is everybody who makes a living analyzing sports stupider than you? A true attitude of peace and harmony: Ohm, shanti, shanti, shanti.
sure, i get youre point. just adding for the sake of tiger history. but, depending on the specifics, i think it is good that there is some infighting. i want them to be pissed they lost. pissed, not dejected. i particularly want the DL to be pissed.
There's a lot of drama just waiting to burst forth from the LSU fanbase.....which in my opinion is getting what it deserves after its poor performance last year. -Interceptions will not be tolerated on the LSU football team....so now we have a qb who doesn't throw them.....and an offense that doesn't score... -Poor offensive performance will be punished, the OC will be sacked immediately.... -Chad Jones didn't tackle well in the first game.....start the freshmen.... Hasn't anyone here heard of the phrase "sticking to your guns"....? Why do you people panic and change immediately? If LSU fires Crowton after this year then I hope we go into a program spiral rivaling Ole Miss after letting Cutcliffe (sp?) go.......we would deserve it. The fanbase here reminds me of the officer crew in the movie the Caine Mutiny.....too good to give their loyalty unless the Captain meets their standards.... A bunch of jackasses in my opinion....
