    Ron Higgins tours the SEC:
Responses different for sluggish offenses Georgia searching for solutions; LSU seems to be assigning blame

Crowton isn't mentioned by Les anywhere here and I think this writer is misunderstanding the "you-speak" that Les uses. He's assuming Les is criticizing Crowton when he may be including himself in it.

"We probably just needed to continue to run the football."

Wow, that's a worrisome statement. What game was he watching?

From a friend of mine, I dont know if this is true. He says that Les and Crowton got into a heated argument at halftime and no adjustments where made on offense. He also said the rumor is that Les took the playcalling over at halftime.
The last thing he mention is there are some rifts in the locker room with some players.

Dont know if its true, just thought it was interesting.

Probably the one where Charles Scott averaged 4 YPC. That is winning football. We just didn't stick to the run enough to establish the run.

I agree with the OP. I don't see any shots at Crowton.

the writer is assuming les is throwing crowton under the bus.

miles has always talked like that. including when he talks about himself and takes responsibility. in fact, i dont think i have ever seen him throw an asst under the bus. he may say the assts were wrong, but they were wrong right along with him.

the writer is reaching. just a cheap shot, imo.

I agree. Miles has used the words "we" and "I". You want to see someone who isn't afraid to throw coaches and players under a bus, check out the visor's press conferences.

Well that has been my thought process that Les and GC must be at odds with one another. I just can't see GC liking this conservative style of offense that Les Miles loves. Les wants Big 10 football, GC wants to confuse the defenses. Big difference in philosophy. GC has never supported a conservative scheme like we're running at any place he's ever been.

Les Miles needs to get the hell out of Gary Crowton's way.

I suspect GC won't be here next season. I predicted that earlier in the week and this certainly would support that.

Regardless of who is to blame or if Les is trying to blame Crowton, I like what Les is saying. We want to throw the ball down field sure but if the protection isn't there, those plays take time to develop, you can't call it. Regarding internal problems with the team, happens alot more than you think and it happens with just about every team. Can it cause a team to implode? Yes it can. Doubt its the case here though.

If we would have run the same exact plays UF ran against us, we would have won that game. Run heavy offense, different run packages mixing in all of our weapons, which will open up the play action. Hell our biggest gain of the night was off the play action, to Lafell over the middle, after about 4 runs in a row.

Well we certainly can call the deep pass play when we look like we're in a running formation and can play action out of it on a 1st and 10. Decent chance we'll have one on one coverage as well. A good deek and we sucker the safety in a couple of steps before he can recover in time to cover the deep pass.

But when you're trying it on 3rd and 12, it won't work. Not enough time to protect Jefferson.
