Back when I played A LOT of tennis, I'd go through two pairs a month. The leather was shiny new but I'd drag a toe when I'd serve and wear a hole in one. Tried the Shoe Goo but never liked it cause it wasn't a smooth/level surface. Oh, plus mom and dad were paying.
That's a couple years too young to be sincere so be careful he's not scamming you. Sounds like you took the bait too. No telling what he made off with.
Those pointe shoes will "die" when a dancer can no longer push up on them and still dance. This year, my older daughter will be on pointe for 6 - 9 hours a week, instead of 3, like she had been, so we may be going through shoes faster.
Yeah I don't often act my age, in fact never because I refuse to believe I'm as old as I am. Especially since I can still bring it.
