He got fined the following week for a hit on Favre, but I don't think the Warner hit was fined.

Agreed, I don't think the Saints are dirty either. They said on WWL last night that over the last 3 years, the Saints rank 8th in the league for personal fouls. That's high, but it shouldn't raise red flags. When you consider how much the official interpretations have changed over the past few years on personal fouls, it only takes one guy on a team who's having trouble adjusting his style of play to inflate the statistics (Roman Harper).

This is a PR nightmare. The terminology being used is flaming public perception. It's the term bounty and hurting prize players that will give this one life, for some time. The NFL Czar ain't gonna be happy till everyone down to the Saint's water boy gets some payback.

This could destroy the Saints. Damn defense is still screwing the Saints over, and it's not even football season.

And Kyle Turley just made it to where he can never come back to New Orleans. Screw that guy. He'll chuck a helmet over Aaron Brooks, but then slaps the greatest player to ever play for the Saints in the face. Douchebag.

I had an immediate thought when I read the Turley comments. Didn't post because I wasn't sure of my facts, but earlier today, Darren Woodson (on ESPN) confirmed what I thought. Offenses and defenses have very little contact with each other during the work week, other than on the practice field and on game dat. Full team meetings are very rare; there are mostly offensive and defensive meetings, and then further breakouts by position. Woodson:"I never knew what was going on in the tight end meetings." Bottom line....its highly unlikely Brees knew what was going on in defensive meetings.

Scott Fujita today: payments were for "big plays", not for injuries.

And I'm sick of hearing the word "cheat" in this conversation. "Cheat" is what the Patriots did in Spygate. Even if the worst allegations we are hearing are true, the Saints gained no unfair competitive advantage by their actions.

Tomorrow I expect Skip Bayless to say that the Bobby McCray hit Kurt Warner with his "bring the wood" baseball bat. He was hilarious this morning trying to lecture Marcellus Wiley on the NFL culture. He has got to be the biggest tool in the business.

Its just more pussification. If you put on a helmet and pad up your fair game. If you think the game is too brutal go play golf. I hate all this crying foul when people dont get their way. You know how the game is played before you step on the field and you sign the big contract to play, so quit whinning and play.

NFL is policing the brand. The media is "making" the news, as usual. The culture has always been there and more players and more teams will be letting it leak. Makes me wonder if anyone remembers "North Dallas Forty?"

The Saint's will get hit hard and each team will simply remind their coaches and players to change the terminology, so others are not easily offended.

The snitches should all be blackballed by their fellow players. You don't snitch on your own damn people.
