and i am not a drug user, i dont smoke pot and have never even tried the harder drugs.

if crack were legal it would be even cheaper and they wouldnt need to steal your stuff any more than an alcoholic would steal your stuff.

no, but i dont smoke pot. i do drink.

very few women i have dated do not smoke pot at all. some smoke rarely, a few all the time. all but one have smoked more than i do. in my life i have smoked pot like i dunno 5 times, and never very much. i am not into it. i am aware that this question was not for me.

it took me forever to realize it, but pot is exactly like alcohol. nothing bad or wrong about it. nothing shady or creepy or scary about it. i was brainwashed so hard when i was a kid.

Is your first sentence humor that I'm missing? Because I don't see how you’re serious. Prohibition not a failure - WTF!! Big business taxed liquor after the depression - I didn't know business tax stuff.

The parallels in pot and alcohol prohibition are obvious. Alcohol prohibition failed because that was the only outcome possible. When a large enough segment of a free society wants to do something - and a lot of the rest of the society don't feel passionately against it, you can't stop it. Does anyone remember that 'dirty pictures' used to be illegal also? How did the anti porn laws of the 60's and 70's work out?

There are users and abusers of everything that is pleasurable. Users never have a problem. Abusers always find a drug; take away their drug of choice they move to the next on the list. Eliminate all street drugs tomorrow and alcohol sales jump the next day and all of the alcohol related social problems ramp up after that. Follow that by eliminating the alcohol and people substitute food and diabetes is rampant and the country's health care costs go up. Eliminate everything pleasurable and we are living under the Taliban. The drug problems are gone, the alcohol problems are gone, health costs are good, but everybody is looking for someone to kill.

Pot is a big deal today because it was made illegal. It was growing in the ditches and fields of this land before we got here. It will be legalized one day, might as well do it now. Or do we wait until Mexico looses as many people in their drug war as we did in Vietnam. Right now they’re at about 70% of our losses. And it’s taken a lot less time to loose 35,000 than it took us in Vietnam. At this rate in another 1 ½ years they will hit the 50,000 mark.

I know it’s not just about pot now. But if you take pot out of the equation things will get easier. For one thing a significant group of citizens will no longer be criminals and maybe will feel like they can help with the real problem drugs.

Not in the 70's, everybody I knew smoked pot. Since then it has tapered off. Both the long-term live-in girlfriends smoked, but not a whole lot. Most women stop when they had kids and others when they had job drug tests and others just seem to have replaced it with alcohol. Many have never smoked.

I really don't care if a date indulges in weed or not, but I'm completely through with alcoholics. Not...worth...the time.
