The idea is that the legalization and subsequent taxation of marijuana would essentially help to dig us out of the hole that we are in over a number of years. I know most of you knew what I was getting at, but I still figured that I should elaborate.
Which budget? State or Federal? Would doing A even certainly cause B? I think this question is like saying should we make m&m's illegal to stop aids.
Federal. And yes, assume the legalization would certainly cause b. Even if there was a chance, I'd vote yes.....you wouldn't?
i wouldnt do that. i think it more like asking if you we would make our girlfriends 15% hotter if we had to take a pay raise.
I would vote yes on legalization, but your justification does not make sense. Making pot legal, even if it generated 500 billion dollars, would not even put a dent in the deficit. We should all be for legalization because it is a freedom issue and we should all like things that increase freedom.
by legalizing, how much would be saved in court/legal costs, and incarceration costs of users that arent breaking the law in other ways, but simply by possession? and how many football players would not be suspended each year?
