I think Fisher was much worse about calling cutesy crap. Crowton may get a little too creative from time to time, but it's hard to blame him. He's trying to get some offensive spark. I didn't think he called such a bad game. Well, that's a point, but against Bama in a close game is a tough call. I think Jefferson should have probably seen more time against Tulane; playing him against Bama might have been an easier call (one way or the other). I do hope to see him this weekend, and not just handing off. I don't disagree that Jefferson probably should have seen a little more time against Tulane, but SF makes a good point that Lee probably needed all the work he can get. It is very likely the coaches know what Jefferson brings to the table even if we do not. It probably would help settle down Lee to have someone to spell him. We're in a tough spot with the QB mess. Sometimes you just don't got it. If we would have run it up the gut all night we would have had more 3 and outs, the defense would have been more apt to give up a score, and we likely wouldn't have gotten much more yards than we got. I'm sure quite a few people would complain that we got too conservative if we'd have been running RBs into a pile of humanity all night. The coaches were in a tough position and I find it hard to fault them for the way they managed the game. Spot on at this point in time.
Umm that was a joke relating to the bitch on the plane, dolt. Well what exactly should we be doing? We don't play the games. Should we storm the athletic department and string somebody up? What about those 2 losses last year? Why has no one been sacrificed? What prompted you to post is that you are a front runner, a bandwagon jumper, an immature loser who somehow equates quality of life with the success of a football team. Fans like you are a dime a dozen. Go back into your hole and wait for the next championship season so you can thump your chest about how good WE are. Chump. :angryfire
what many are overlooking -although its been said many times- is even if JJ is ready physically, they dont want to ruin his head by throwing him to the wolves, which may have already happened to Lee ( due to perrilloux's idiocy). sure he may know a few plays and could have executed some better than Jlee. But what if he fails in front of the largest LSU crowd ever and is the goat who throws 4 picks, losing the game. then these great fans will have booed this true freshman out of the stadium. then you have a possible mental case who is too damaged to ever recover. it happens. having 2 qbs that are mental messes is even worse. its not jlee's fault he was forced to play at least a year too early. Knowing what a risk RP was by his attitude and actions since he'd stepped foot on campus, I blame CLM more than RP for not having a contingency plan. also, once miles (for whatever reason) decided not to give JJ any real reps vs Tulane, that pretty much ensured he would not sniff the field vs a defense like bama. at least let him play the role of hatch running the option to break up the monotony and give Jlee a time to clear his head and take some deep breaths.
Great post Salty, and I agree with you too. Someone hasta try and defend Lee, and I will also continue to defend him. I don't like it when :helmet: loses either, but that does not stop me from being a Tiger fan. I am a Tiger fan regardless of whether we win or lose. I think Lee is doing the best that he can, and I also think that he knows he is screwing up, which is gonna make his screwing up even worse. He is well aware of the fact that he is not doing good. Maybe if some of the fans here saw him walking around or something, they could just give him a few words of encouragement. Heck it can't hurt, it might just make him feel a little better about himself. :geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux: :geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux:
I agree, of course, but what Salty doesn't understand is that he's a man in his own right and these these whining bitches are men only when their team wins.
Just when I thought you were losing your fire and ready for the old folks home someone jabs you in the rear with a hot poker and you snap back from your geriatric coma. Glad to see you're still with us.:hihi::hihi::thumb:
Now I am not an expert by any means, unlike many of you here . But, I have played my fair share of football, and baseball. That being said I think a lot of Lee's errant passes could be due to poor mechanics. Go back and look at a lot (not all) of his passes. Many of them are high or overthrown, causing either a)our receivers to have to jump outta the stadium to catch the ball, resulting in a crushing hit, or b)receivers being overthrown and hence the INT. So is it where he is releasing the ball, not getting his feet set, or both? I know some of his picks were bad decisions (Auburn). But if he makes a lot of these throws to the WR head or chest then we would all be saying how great he is as a RSFR QB. anyone else see this?
i think I saw one time where he actually set his feet on a roll out. And Im not sure why they keeprolling him out (to the right) because he clearly does not throw any better or improve his mechanics when they do. his mechanics are clearly out of whack almost all the time. he looks lost outside of the pocket. for whatever reason, it complicates things for him mentally instead of making it easier. plus it gives the safety assurance hes throwing to that side of the field. although rashad johnson is one helluva player. he did put together that 14 play drive and display some of his talent but he has a long way to go mentally. and he has to understand there are safeties on every team.
Hahaha... easy big fella. I hope I didnt cause you a hernia, or any other medical related illness right there. cause i dont wish that on anybody especially with what obama will do to socialize our health care. I guess Don is one of those too...
