This, There were more than a few of Lee's passes that hit WR's in the hands that ended up being picks. This IMO is not the fault of the young QB neither is it his fault if the defender is able to run for 40, 50 or more yards to take it to the house. Good grief there are 10 other mofo's on the field someone tackle his ass. Lee deserves a shot here.

I say start JJ if by the 3rd series we still can't move down the field...JL gets a shot...one of jj biggest flaws is not having confidence..if you don't give him the start and lee can't perform..jj will have a harder time coming in second

I just have a problem with Jefferson not being benched because of his pitiful play. He doesn't have to just make Lee the starter, but geez, if other players can get benched for poor play, why can't our quarterback. That's the one thing i love about Spurrier, he could have Elway as his starter, and if he plays like crap, he sits. Jefferson should have been benched at halftime, it's that simple.

That was the only problem i had with the coaching staff in the Vandy game. I thought they called a great game, Jefferson just didn't execute.

As far as Lee being the starter Cliff, i just want to know which game you are predicting JJ gets hurt in, because that is the only way this coaching staff will make that change.

Maybe it doesn't take JJ being hurt to get JL in. I am a bit concerned that if JJ continues to play like this as in the first two games, not being able to move the offense effectively, Tiger fans may really start booing in Tiger Stadium out of frustration with his play and/or the coaches lack of decision in switching non-performing QB's. At that point it becomes a test of his mental toughness; either he perks up or crashes.

I don't think Lasalle was saying JJ has to get hurt for Lee to PLAY. Just saying he'd have to be hurt for Lee to START.

    My bad.
I just hope JL gets more significant playing time from now on, and then let things shake out. That would be a good way to see if he deserves to be the starter.

that's exactly what i was saying.

I thought the offensive gameplan vs. Vandy was solid. JJ just couldn't get it done. I am not the type of guy who is going to say Miles needs to be fired, or Miles sucks, but I have noticed a tendency of this coaching staff to keep trying something until they get it right, or the time runs out on the game clock. I think Miles is a good coach, but he struggles with modifications in game. LSU under Miles prepares very well for teams, but for some reason if our game plan isn't working, they don't seem to do a very good job adjusting on the fly.

Regardless, we ran the ball better, I am just scared teams are just going to load the box to take that away and will force JJ to beat them, and he will continue to struggle. Our receivers have to help out our quarterbacks though, the drops by them would have been real tough to bring down, but they gotta pull em in.

At this point, i would agree with the people who said we need to run the dual quarterback. We had success with Perriwho and Flynn, we did it with Hatch and Lee, why all of the sudden has this staff just decided we live and die with Jefferson? Go dual, and make Jefferson understand he can be benched at any time, and i bet the competition will make him play better, and I bet, Jarrett Lee is a better quarterback now because he has been forced to sit because of his mistakes.

I'm not so sure this isn't the way I'm leaning. But at the very least, get Lee some reps earlier. Regardless of JJ's performance.

I thought the staff made in game adjustments last night...just a little slow to do so at that one position...the most obvious one.
