    I agree with Suncoast.

I would rather Lee go 6 for 23 with ZERO interceptions and 54 yards passing with a passing efficiency of 33.8.

That should really open up the holes for our RBs.

I was thinking if we just gave it to Quinn Johnson for a few more fumbles, that should help the wide-outs get open more often.

the mere threat of a huge fumbling machine has shown to open up things for the slot receiver. lots of extensive research done on this subject.

It was sarcasm used as a means to illustrate the ridiculous parameters you put on our current QB. Everybody else seemed to get it except for you.

Well then by all means, let's penalize Lee because he is fortunate enough to be a LSU Tiger. So any mutt could do what he has done?? Now, I see your point. It's merely to piss on a redshirt's accomplishments because you enjoy focusing on the negative.

Having a skeptical viewpoint is not a problem, but yours is purely contrarian. Why don't you enlighten us as to what circumstances should exist for Mr. Lee to impress you? Since we don't anticipate Miles and the rest of the players will die tomorrow, at what benchmark will Lee impress you? We already know he has not done anything noteworthy according to you, so illuminate us on what it will take, in your completely objective viewpoint, of course.

Skeptical is "not a problem"? Surely you jest. Skeptical is a big problem. At first its insulted and then when you defend it, it gets called contrarian. You think I'm lying, look at all the nice things Sabanfan has said about me. No one, at least to my knowledge, has said one thing to him. Why? Because he conforms to the group think. Look at the others who have "lectured" me. No one likes dissent... Political parties, third world dictators, message boards...are all the same in that regard.

I've said alot of good things in this very thread about LSU. I've said the OLine is terrific, the RBs are outstanding, the WRs are incredible, the defensive line is great, but because I critique the QB and pass defense, I'm a contrarian. More accurately though, whether you will admit it or not, it is that, I don't "walk the line".

But I've been assured that "critiquing" is ok. I'll continue to critique and see if thats allowed. I hope so. But I am guessing that there is a long line of those who will hope not.

I am glad sarcasm is well rec'd. Wouldn't want anyone to think you were being contrarian. Contrarian? Here? No. Never.

Ok, you don't like being called contrarian but you can compare me to a third world dictator? And don't try to reference others to diffuse that, you quoted me. What a riot.

Here is an idea. Since you continue to deflect and act like a victim, why don't you drop it and support your claims? Like how about you lay down the criteria that Lee needs to meet to satisfy you, instead of just telling us how easy he has it? Because if you can't(and you have not yet), then you are merely being contrarian.

Diffuse what? I stand by what I said. Now, to your more cogent point.

(I am like Dr. Lou Holtz sitting on the couch and phone rings. Its Dude. Hey, Dr, what will it take for YJL to satisfy you?)

What does Young Jarrett Lee need to do to satisfy me? He needs to not make poor throws that go the other way to keep other team in the game.

Most coaches (and I am surely not a coach, but I digress) will tell you that the #1 rule for a QB is to protect the football.

Now, if the OL is bad and the kid is getting hit before he can set in a five step drop. Thats a problem; but its not the case here.

If the running game is bad, then the opposing defense knows you are going to throw, thats a problem; but its not the case here.

If the WRs are bad, and the QB feels he can only trust, say one player, he'll try to force throws. Thats a problem; but its not the case here.

If the defense is bad, and the QB feels he needs to score on every drive, that may force him to play beyond his abilities. Thats a problem but its not the case here.

If the coaching staff is bad, it may put the QB in position to fail. That would be a huge problem, but its just not the case here.

So the first thing young Jarrett needs to know is that every drive should end in a kick. Even if its a punt. With our punter and this defense, a punt ain't the worst thing that can happen. As a matter of fact, punts are your friend.

Do not take risks with your throws. Don't be careless with the football. There is no need.

In both games, his poor decision with the football has cost us. The throw in Auburn was disgraceful. The throw vs MSU was just bad. Luckily, we prevailed in spite of it.

Jarrett Lee will have plenty of opportunities to win games for the Tigers with his ability. There are probably more than a few 400 yard/4 TD games in his future. That time will come, but that time ain't now.

Protect the football and I think we'll all be satisfied. Throw INTs in close games, and we won't always be so lucky.

    How is this controversial again?

That happened one time and we won the game anyway. Get over it.

    That's fairly obvious

    Thank you Captain Obvious.

If we had some ham we'd have some ham and eggs, if we had some eggs.

Damn him for ending drives with touchdowns.

Forget that silly crap about throwing it to your receivers. Toss that puppy to the fans. That way there will never be any interceptions and every drive will end with a kick.

Cost us what? A high five?

But when this open date is over, look out.

    Not..gonna...say...it.

I thought you were saying how our pass defense was going to lose us the Florida, UGA, and Alabama games, along with any game in which we might face OU, Missouri, Texas, or Texas Tech?
