It is what it is Tap!!

I'm not hiding myself away .. I'd love to coach football. In fact, I'd settle for just one year at LSU at 3.5 million per year. I"d retire after that. ... or just coach for the glory of it all.

It's no secret, you play up to a players stengths. CLM never did that with Lee. CLM designed the offense for JJ, and then tried to make Lee fit into it. Doesn't work very well that way.

Further, I would not have benched the guy who got us to 8-0 just because he threw two ints. I saw Luck, Jones, Weeden, even RGIII threw 2 ints this year in a game. But he did not get relegated to the bench.

You can make all the excuses you would like ... but CLM's hardheadedness and intent on doing it his way, instead of the best way is what has cost a lot of things for LSU these past two years. Nick Saban has figured that out. He didn't run the same game plan in the BCSNC as he did in the Nov 5th game. CLM ..not so much. :geaux:

Who thinks that these JL/JJ/CLM threads will still be argued in 10 years or 20? Give it a rest please. Don't see any minds being changed.

I like debate but this meets the definition of insanity "doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result". You all are doing just what so many accuse Les of doing ...... being hard headed.

We have so much to look forward to in the coming years. Let's put and end to the JL/JJ era and find something else to debate.

In what world is Jamie Howard beloved by LSU fans?

As for Tap--Just because JJ was needed in one game, doesn't make him the best choice every time. Nobody is mad about 13 wins Tap. I hate when people exaggerate what a group of people are saying and twist it to imply that they want the other extreme. So please stop. Les Miles deserved his coach of the year awards, but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve every bit of criticism for his refusal to adjust. LSU fans are mad about the inability to see that just because we weren't losing under JJ doesn't mean it's always going to work. My biggest issue is that Lee screws up and he gets pulled quickly, but JJ didn't have the same set of rules.

    Let me use TigerTap logic:

Wow! What a great season! 13 wins, tying a school record, and an SEC championship....It's okay if Miles doesn't feel like coaching the last month of the season.

Go read the Rumor thread. If you practiced plays after plays for a month and your coach only does 4 of them you are not going to wonder why and maybe not put in your entire effort.

That would have been a good excuse but the O line play was bad from the first snap. Hurst had two false starts and a blown assignment in the first qtr. RR ran right into the spot OBJ was blocking his man to on a swing pass.
I would say based on what I saw that the coaches pulled the game plan when they saw how badly the O line, JJ et al were playing. Good move or bad I don't know but it offers a reasonable explanation based on the Ark and Ga games and what we saw on the field. It doesn't require some conspirisy theory or fight scenario.
