Is LeBron the most "unclutch" superstar player ever in organized sport? Except for that extremely lucky 3 pointer he made from 30 feet out vs Orlando in the playoffs, I just can't remember him coming through in the clutch, especially if it was one of those stupid jumpers, er bricks, he loves to shoot. At least he went to the basket vs the Bulls this last game, but Noah played it perfectly, forcing him to his left hand, where he obviously can't shoot a layup from that side if defended in a high pressure situation. His last 2 game winning or game tying attempts have failed to strike iron. Pretty embarrassing. Whomever decided that the perfect play in this situation is to inbound the ball to LeBron and let him run out the clock until he finally decides to shoot the ball (usually ends up being a semi-desperate attempt) has not been paying attention to this man's career. If I had to guess, his success rate in these situations has to be below 20 percent.
That shot against Orlando came after they were down 3-0 in the series. Orlando won the next game anyway to finish 4-1.
I thought it was funny a few nights ago when MIA played NY and LBJ tried some late game heroics and Amare swatted that shiit across the f*cking gym. F*ck LeBron and f*ck the Heat.
With Shaq & Big Baby hopefully having significant roles with the Celtics, I'm definitely pulling for them in the East. However, I'm not quite as anti-Heat as everyone else and would even say they are still the favorite in the East. I would take the field (even only limited to the East) over the Heat but something tells me the Heat will be peaking at playoff time. Lebron's playoff game against the Pistons when he scored 20+ in a row down the stretch was one of the all-time clutch performances. He's definitely not in Kobe's league as far as closing games but these "growing pains" will pay dividends down the road. Having DWade on his side will help also. I don't "root" for Lebron very often but enjoy watching him play and think the criticism towards him is unfair at times.
Most overrated game-winner ever. ESPN would make you to believe that it actually had significance. All you have to do is look at LeBron's response to the shot to know that it was extremely lucky...come on man, act like you've done it before...oh wait.
I hate to say I told you guys so, wait a minute I love to say in this instance. The worst team that could ever be put together. To say they overspent on Chris Bosh is an understatement, this guy is 6'10 and wants to shoot 18ft jump shots all game, he has no heart and cant spell defense. Lebron James hasnt proved a thing and whats sad is his ego is so huge that there is nothing anyone can teach him or correct him on. That is all.
After 'Melo hit another game-winner last night SportsCenter did a graph: most go-ahead FGs with under :10 in the game, since Melo (and LBJ) entered the league. Melo and Kobe are tied for the most....Lebron isn't in the top 4.
Yea Melo has a lot. I know he hit a bunch against Utah. Most of the time they are inside the 3 point line as opposed to launching them from 3 like Brandon Roy does.
I'll never forget the deep 3 Roy shot against the Rockets at the buzzer...that was killer. He makes those 3's look easy.
