There's plenty of time for that shit after Mike the Tiger is finished eating the remains of our opponents.
For much of the game, the team didn't even seem that interested in this opponent. Why should the fans? Who of us out there ever said, oh, I hope we schedule Kent State some day? And let's follow them up with Furman. The out-of-conference scheduling sucks. Obviously you can't play only top tier opponents, but who wants to see schools that have to google just to find out where they're from? Towson? Furman? Yawn.
Well for one, LSU needs home games in order to meet budget requirements. Remember we don't take hand outs like the Gumps do. Most good teams only want neutral sites unless you're going to do a Home and Home with them (which will take away from our home games). So while I definitely agree (I loved the 2011 schedule, it was amazing playing so many high ranking teams), I understand why we have to have some of these teams that will expect a small payout to come get spanked.
There are much more worthy opponents that would come without us having to play them home/away. We have really been pulling some of these opponents from the bottom of the barrel. We could do better without giving up revenue.
The students arrive late and leave early. There are more students leaving than season ticket holder by far.
Don't they realize they can go smoke weed, go drink, or go fuck after the game just as easily as during the 4th quarter?
The students have so few seats now that none of their friends are at the game. That's why they leave early. That's a direct result of their being squeezed out. Death Valley = dead valley !!!!
The students arrive first and is always the first section full. But yes, many of them leave early because they are too drunk to stay interested in the game. One of the downfalls of being a big party school. And there's always the female persuasion...
