Palin resurrected a floundering McCain campaign. McCain lost because of Iraq, the liberal media and McCain's own stupidity in trying to be a "Republocrat".

Oh she definitely ruined that campaign, nothing about her was good for McCain, who was a stand up guy until the election.

But thats all Im going to say on that, this subject has been beat to death here.

Bull. McCain is a backstabbing politician who would betray his own mother to get to the WH. He ain't what he tries to make people believe he is.

I did too, about ten years ago. I saw some things from him in his last campaign I did not care for. I think he just passed his prime. Think about what a toxic environment it was for republicans in the last campaign. I don't think it brought out his best.

I like another former governer from Ark. I believe Huckabee is positioning himself to run. And I beleive that he could be a good "LEADER". In order to be a good leader you must surround yourself with the right people. That has not happened in the last few admins.
    My 2 cents.

I think McCain lost the election when he came out and said "First, we'll buy up all those bad mortgages" in one of the debates when asked about his plan to handle the housing crash. Up until then, he wasn't doing all that bad. Once he came out with that crap, independents knew they would get the same thing as president either way and they were already sick of Republicans, so they migrated on over to the "hope and change" line.

As far as Palin goes, I wouldn't vote for her to be president (well I would over our present statist overlord), but I don't hate her either like most people do. I think she's better off where she's at right now. She's much better as a fund-raiser.

Now, who would I want for president in 2012?... Hmm.. Somebody who doesn't want the stinking job. I liked Fred Thompson in '08, but he just couldn't get it together and I don't think he's going to try in '12...
