Why? Why would LSU try to cover Harvin with McCray and Beckwith? McCray got torched on the long pass play and Beckwith was just as bad on the short TD. It seems that our LB's have problems covering (see Miss St.). I have to say I was disappointed after this game, but I remember 2003 when LSU lost to Florida and went on to win it all. Hopefully, we can do that again!!!:geaux:

We're not going to win it all this year. We never expected to. Everybody predicted a 10-2 season with losses at Florida and Auburn. So, we won one and we lost one.

Nobody expected a blowout, but it happens sometimes. Florida was sky-high and had intensity. They had been humiliated by Ole Miss and then our Einstein of a defensive tackle, Ricky Jean-Francois, made them angry with his really stupid smack talk.

Meanwhile our team got complacent and played with no fire at all. The offensive line was simply pathetic. The coaches made no adjustments at halftime and seemed to be sleep-walking out there.

NOTE TO THE OC: Every team on the schedule is now going to put 8 men in the box and dare us to throw downfield. Perhaps you should consider doing just that.

NOTE TO THE DC and the DC: When Harvin lines up at running back, you still have to cover him like a wide receiver. Duhhh!

NOTE TO THE HEAD COACH:Ricky Jean-Francois needs to run wind sprints every practice until he learns to keep his mouth shut in front of reporters. Your team was talking a lot of smack out there for guys that were getting their asses handed to them for 60 minutes. It's time for you to get control of this.

    Great points.

I didnt like the trash talking LSU was doing either. When you are getting your ass handed to you like that keep your trap shut.

What scares me is the lack of heart LSU displayed. I expected a loss last night, but not a game like that. I did expect more from Lee though. The WRs dropped a lot of passes as well. It was horrible all the way around.

putting we should put mccray where ever we want the ball to go. Everyone just finds him and throws the ball to him, it doesnt matter if the ball is well thrown or not.

darry beckwith covering percy was pretty stupid but wasnt taylor late there too? its hard to say when you dont know the play call

i am not really a football expert but couldnt we use one of our cbs chad jones or someone else to cover recievers in Danny McCrays role?

Lee is doing well for a RS Freshman, but let's not push it...

And, uh, how about some strategy & game planning, perhaps even some in-game adjustments!?

I wasn't worried about losing Pelini, but the defensive coaching has clearly not been up-to-par, even considering that some of the issues are due to inexperience.

Let's not act like this has been a real issue under Miles. RJF screwed up, and he'll pay for it.

I didn't see a lack of heart (i.e. emotion). I thought, rather, that UF got LSU playing on their heels, where they stayed the entire game. When they got back on their toes on early in the third, the Gators put them right back on their heels.

Not the same ball club that Les had last year, at least not in THIS game. Perhaps the game will be a catalyst for some leadership to rise up and help keep the team driving on thier toes and focused on the right things when the chips are down.

    clearly out-coached this game.

the OL isnt as good as once thought. i was shocked to see black and herm going nowhere several times.

DEs were horrible. this is inexcusable for experience players.

    DBs played well.

Lee was OK. acceptable for a RSFr.

Hatch throws a nice long ball. well, 35 yds. pretty long.

i knew it would be high scoring, just thought it would be more balanced.

The lines didnt play with any heart. I agree the third down TD on the opening drive really caught LSU offguard. I dont think they recovered. In a game with that much emotion, UF came with intensity. I didnt see any of that from the LSU lines who looked like littles going against men. LSU is usually a gritty team who will fight to the end. I saw a team that folded like OSU did against USC. When UF got the ball back after the opening TD, I saw a LSU team that fell flat. Once UF scored that TD, that easily I knew it was gonna turn into a blow out.

Yeah he made some great tackles, but talked a lil too much considering the score.

Made me think of the Super Bowl many years ago when the 49ers played the Chargers. Primetime ran a punt back and was nailed hard. I dont remember who it was, but they were over him talking smack. Deion just calmly got up and pointed to the score board. Talk all you want when its a game, but when you getting embaressed keep the trap shut.
