http://www.canalstreetchronicles.co...nts-lb-victor-butler-tears-acl-out-for-season Rex Ryan guy from Dallas. This sucks.
Was expected to be our best OLB and lived up to the hype in the 6 practices the media watched. Guy on radio said he knows it wasn't many practices but they all agreed Butler was the best. Terrible misfortune for Saints losing him, as he put it. Thinks Martez Wilson is next in line
Source told the AP that he has an appointment with the best in the business, orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews He's the guy that fixed Brees' shoulder, and most recently the ACL and MCL in Adrian Peterson's left knee...and those two seemed to get even better after getting worked on by Dr. Andrews (some joke that he implanted Brees with a bionic arm) Although Dr. Andrews is humble about it: "My pat answer is, 'If you operate on the right athlete, it makes you look pretty darn good as a physician.'" Note that Dr. Andrews is an LSU grad (Class of 1963), was an SEC Champion for the LSU track team in the indoor and outdoor pole vault before getting his MD from the LSU School of Medicine in 1967
There was an article on nola.com today about how the Saints can easily overcome this because Butler isn't as vital as everyone is making him out to be. It has some good points, but not sure it makes me feel any better about it. http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2013/06/the_new_orleans_saints_have_ti.html
Duncan is deluding himself which is a natural response to a castrophy. Didn't read his whole article, but all he needs to say is it's not like our OLBs are a bunch of guys we pulled off the street. I'm excited to see the next guys in line take their shot
