No, the only recruit who has excepted a greyshirt proposal is Johns and even he might get the full offer. If we did not offer Tahj Jones a full offer Chavis would be pissing in his pants right now because he really wants him and Ole Miss would snatch him up. Ole Miss is close to home, offering early playing time, and he likes the school. Who actually receives the greyshirts will not be determined until a few weeks or couple months down the road. We have 4-5 guys who are borderline in qualifying at this moment and if any of them fall through the cracks they will get the greyshirt. Jones could be one of those academic casualties but that is yet to be determined.
I understand everything you're saying Bhelm. My point is Tahj Jones is 2nd in line after Johns to getting a greyshirt if more than 25 players qualify. The numbers always seem to work themselves out, so the point is probably moot.
BTW, I know Izzy might not agree but I looked into it further and Jones' offer is a full 2009 offer if he qualifies. Not a greyshirt.
It says that John Chavis was one of his recruiters.. This is a big plus in my opinion because the chief wants him. I think Jones has the size to be a good linebacker once he gets on LSU's weight program. Nice job coaches.
