Well we're saying Tahj Jones is a top 250 LB. Mingo is already a top 250 LB and Minter is rated even higher than that. Barrow was a 4 star and is the next OLB rated outside the 4 star range.

Maybe with LSU picking him up finally he might even get his 4th star back, although I tend to doubt it.

I don't know many teams with four 4 star Linebackers this year.

I just checked and the LB rankings on rivals, and LSU would be 2nd in the nation in LB recruiting had LSU taken Barrow early on in the process and Tahj Jones not had the issues with grades.

LSU also still has somewhat of a shot at Jarvis Jones, a top 50 LB.

So, your saying that both Barrow & Jones would be rated higher if LSU had offered / accepted commitments from them early in the process? Just seems to me that they are both kinda backburner recruits because LSU was after others early. I mean they both may become great players & I hope they do. Did anyone ever get a true reading on Barrow's speed? Early on he was dismissed as being to slow & then later I heard that he was much faster than was first thought.

Realize that Barrow is possibly projected as a MLB where speed isn't as much a need. If he can run 4.6 then that is ample as long as his instincts are great (see Ali Highsmith).

The telltale sign that is a bit worrisome is that neither Jones or Barrow had many big time schools offer according to Rivals. You could say Jones had academic problems which kept some schools away, but Barrow didn't right? Barrow is labeled as slow, and while Jones is faster, he has academic issues and is listed as 185 lbs.

The LSU staff is letting him know how much we want him this weekend and I would assume he is going to be apart of this class. Maybe this year or a greyshirt.

Still going to take visits to Ole Miss and TCU before he decides.

With Singleton now out of the picture and possibly Pratt as well, the trickle down effect might just reach Tahj Jones.

Logan would be first in line, then probably Jones over Johns (hard to say, but that's my guess).

That's my guess. Johns has already said he is perfectly fine with a greyshirt. We're not 100 % sure the same holds true for Tahj Jones, but I guess is he would as well.

I think Tahj is going to get a regular offer, JMO.
