Committed/will be in this class: Willie Ferrell & Kevin Minter, both MLBs (although Minter could play OLB) and Barkevious Mingo (OLB).

Still on the board: Tahj Jones (OLB), Lamin Barrow (OLB, though supposedly slow - doubt he gets an offer), Jon Bostic (OLB), and Chris Williams (listed as Inside LB by Rivals, but I thought he was outside?).

Does anybody know what each guy is - Weakside/Strongside?

I believe Bostic is a Sam, and Barkevious is a Will, and I think we want 1 or 2 of each to finish off our LB recruiting.

So who do we take? Who do you want most?

Dunno who we take, but I like the potential of Mingo, and I also want Bostic in this class...if for no other reason than his name...very linebacker-esque.

I know Barkevious Mingo is an OLB right now but I have heard that he'll probably bulk up and moved to DE when he gets here and with his athleticism they'll use him sometimes like they used Marcus Spears and let him drop in coverage.

Think Bostic is a definite take and possibly Chris Williams because he's just to talented to pass up but with like every other position this year it may come down to who commits first to the coaches. Are we still in the running for OLB Frankie Telfort But LSU definitely needs a great LB class and this one has great potential.

That's true, some fans have been saying that. If the coaches feel the same we may be looking at 5 LBs in this class.

Coaches are not allowed to talk about recruits. None of them have said anything about Mingo switching to DE, and I haven't seen anybody with connections to the coaching staff saying that either.

They could comment on that, but I haven't seen it. Five true LBs seems to be a lot, considering we only lose 1 next year.

I'm not too sure I agree with Mingo to DE either.

Here is one...from Bostic...i know ive seen more

Bostic spoke with Coach McCarthy on Tuesday. How did that conversation go?

"We talked about both (football and non-football issues)," he explained. "Basically he was saying that they need a big recruiting class for linebackers this year. That's most likely their biggest need.
