I haven't heard of Claiborne or Johns playing any LB... I wouldn't include them in the discussion.

Johns has been mentioned as a possible OLB/S. Claiborne is not going to play LB, but the point is that we are taking him as an athlete, probably to play DB. Neither of these players has a settled position or could be projected as starters early in their careers as opposed to someone like Loston for example. I'm just saying Stewart would be in the same boat as them. Most would agree Minter is better, so he would add depth in the same way as Claiborne and Johns, only he is rated higher as a 4 star. However, no one seems to be questioning whether he would add more quality depth than the recruits we now have. For instance, we were recently going after Singleton for a second FB and that elicited a lot of opinions.

I haven't watched much film on Stewart (and its been a long time since I have), but from what I could tell he & Barrow were pretty close in talent. I'm not sure what the coaches saw that separated the two, but apparently it was something...

Speed? Pass coverage? Don't know. Thought I heard coaches were impressed with his pass coverage and offered him, something coachable but not many LBs get done very well. I don't think its speed, despite what I've heard about Barrow. Heard hes a 4.5 guy but the combine numbers I've seen, hes a 4.8 guy...

Ali Highsmith was a very solid LB for us, I could see Barrow being the same.
