Yeah Pineville is an odd town. We rarely have high quality football players. Kenny was by far the best player to come from here, I went to HS with him, he was a freak. A defensive lineman who won state in hurdles also. Just unreal. He was a grown man among boys. Then there was Tony Taylor, running back, he ended up playing for Dallas but never could crack their actual team other than practice squad. I need to check into this other tailback you are talking about, I may have missed him when I was living in TX and started following North Texas HS football.

But anyway it's rare the river rats get a good one, hate to see em go elsewhere. OU has really plucked some talent from here lately, I think they got an ASH kid this year too.

What does the depth look like at safety? Is there any guys that may be considered a hybrid that could be converted?

In a spread-crazy league like the SEC, we will be playing a lot of nickel and dime anyway.

Beckwith, Clifton Garrett, Lamar Lewis, Feist, Duke Riley, Debo Jones, Donnie Alexander and a few W/O players is what we for next year at the LB position.

Jones on right outside, Beckwith in the middle, and who on the left? Is Garrett a mlb or OLB?

Garrett is said to be the backup to Beckwith. I did get to see him play before he got to LSU, I made the US Army game a couple years ago. Last year we had DJ start 6 games, Kwon 12, Lewis 10, Beck 7, Debo 1 and Duke Riley 1. This year I want to see what we have in the Spring, should have a better look at things.

Years ago a reporter asked LSU Head Coach Jerry Stovall about his returning DL, the reporter named every returning player. Coach said that he had left off one name, Henry Thomas. The reporter ask, well coach, what about Henry Thomas? Coach said, right now, I don't have an OL that can block him.

Next years crop of LB's in the state looks good, this years was very light. Devin White, Michael Divinity, De'jon Harris and the Evans kid out of John Curtis are a few names to keep an eye on. Kids want to play and play early. The 2016 high school class is deep at many positions. I could see us signing a number of LB's both in state and OOS.

Steele's time at Fla St, he was the Recruiter of the Year, he'll have his shot this year to sign a class of LB's.

If we have a linebacker go down we are going to be in trouble.

Deion Jones has to get a spot in the starting lineup he's earned it. Dude is super fast and can actually tackle.
