I asked the same question months ago. Not sure why we didn't at least have McGinnis as a backup plan. A couple of injuries at LB next year would be disastrous.

Also was Cody Ford not recruited? I know we cleaned up on the OL, but it sucks that the first decent player from my hometown since Kenny Mixon isn't a Tiger.

Seems like there was a safety from ASH that ended up being a three year starter and all big 12 (10) selection that played for chokelahoma.

Yeah ASH has had some players, I think you're thinking of Nic Harris and then there was a tailback named Chris Brown from ash I think also.

LaSalle is speaking specifically of Pineville. They've put together some decent teams since I've been here. The only really good player they had was a kid from New Orleans who was a Katrina evacuee and ended up staying. I think he was an All-State Safety and went to Ole Miss. I believe he started a couple of years for them.

I agree about Cody Ford. Obviously better than Magee, at least. I don't think this staff knows the whole state that well. Jeff Grimes is new. Maybe other factors. Cody Ford is very good though. I think LSU missed out.
