It is a year later but LSU offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher appears to have bagged the linebacker from Miami that he coveted in last years recruiting class. Linebacker Ali Highsmith (6-1, 220, 4.5) of Miami-Central High was courted heavily by Fisher and LSU for the recruiting class of 2003 but could not pull him away from the hometown Miami Hurricanes.

 

Will he be given a scholarship?

If Highsmith is given a scholarship, how many does that leave for us this recruiting class? Maybe he will be given the scholarship formerly reserved for Kuale?

 

I don't subscribe to Rivals. Maybe someone who does can see if the article says anything about that.

 

Do you pronounce Ali like Muhammed Ali or like Alley Broussard?

I think you may be right phatcat.

 

You can redshirt a Juco player if he did not redshirt at the juco. Unless he had some kind of an injury I would not think he redshirted in Juco.
