http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/football/ncaa/01/23/rodriguez.wvu.ap/index.html I've always thought something was up when I heard Rich Rodriguez was not going to pay his 4 million buyout. It sounds like West Virginia was not following through on the promises made to Rodriguez on building the football program. If true I guess that is cause for him getting out of his contract. In any event this all sounds like a big mess between his Agent, Lawyers and School officials. This will probably drag on for ever.
I have heard this before, but honestly if it was not in his contract that the school would do a series of things, then tough crap. The 4 million buyout was in his contract, he signed it. Done deal. I agree that the situation over at WVU sounds like a complete mess. The more that comes out, the more of a nuts that place sounds like.
The situation might be messy but the media, as always, seems to be blowing it way out of proportion. I take most things from the media with a grain of salt if I even bother to listen.
