Oh China totally wants Trump to lose. He has given them way too much grief and they would rather go unchecked

Don’t assume that countries that are interfering in our election are only helping Trump. As @dachsie says China probably has more interest in Biden winning.
Regardless their main interest is sowing discord and weakening us. Foreign interference in our politics is a threat to our country.

Yes, and it is the weakening of US Nationalism and Patriotism that allows them to succeed. Once upon a time, the majority of Americans were proud to be American. The 4th of July had meaning outside of bbq and beer. Illegal immigration would have been uniformly rejected save for the fringe. AND ... no American would disgrace the President of the US like we see today, if anything out of respect for the office.

The turning point was the 2000 election. A perfect combination of an emboldened “entertainment elite” and a conservative President resulted in incidences like the Dixie Chicks bashing Bush on International soil. (Ironically, they paid the price given they were country music stars). And it’s gotten worse. The MSM has jumped into the fray. With 90% of our media publishing its disdain for our President. They lie and say it’s his personality, but reality is, it is all about political policy. Trump is rolling back a decade of movement to the left, and they don’t like it.

China, Iran, Russia, and many more countries have been trying to cause turmoil and/or influence our elections for a long time. As new tech becomes available they leverage these tools. Last election shined more light on social media and other cyber tools. Instead of focusing on protecting ourselves (and using) these increasingly powerful tools we lost a lot of time and resources entertaining the Russia/Trump Trump/Russia/Trump hoax.

200 years ago most of these MF'ers would have been hung on the town square. Today, they just go to work for CNN

This is the real problem with MSM. I know many believe they tell lies. I disagree, but that is OK.

But what the MSM does frequently and routinely is omit stories, or development in the stories they have previously reported.

Another thread addresses the lack of coverage on the murder of the WHITE 5 year old boy by his BLACK next door neighbor. Infuriating. Yesterday, a week after the murder, WAPO ran a story about the kid, but barely addressed the murder. AND, as expected, comments were turned off.

what’s the difference between telling lies about events and omitting reporting about events?
