I agree. The feeling is/was that Pelini was doing some pretty complex things with the kids, so why completely change a winning formula?

And for those of you who don't like Peveto as Special Teams Coach, I am hearing with his new promotion, they would hire a true special teams coach.

Exactly, if Peveto becomes D-coordinator (he already is Linebackers coach) then he wouldn't coach special teams anymore and we get a new S.T. coordinators. Voila!

    In Les I trust.

To quote and re-iterate Atlanta Bengal "You can't complain with the staff Miles has brought in since arriving."

I say just relax and give a lot of leeway to the coach that likes prime numbers, you know, like #5, #3 and #1.

I don't like co-anything. Makes no sense to have more than one coach in charge. Too many chiefs.

Hope these reports of co-DC are false. Promote one if you want to keep it in house, not two.

I agree. Don't like the idea of co. It make be a hokey way to justify more money for the asst. coaches and get more raises for more people, but it is not an effective way to make decisions. Just let one guy call the shots and hold him responsible.

A lot of teams use the co in order to pay the coaching staff better. There will probably only be one chief. Knowing Miles....this is probably the reason he would promote two from within.

I'm a little nervous about these rumors. LSU should be able to persuade an established DC to come to LSU. I haven't been impresses with the special teams and you can't tell me these guys know defense like a Bo Pelini.

I am reminded of the Dinardo year after his early success and he changes coordinators and it is all downhill. I'm not saying this will happen because Les has made great hires, but promoting guys within versus finding an established DC is worrisome for me.

You don't know what you're getting.

    Who says we can't?

They both have DC experience, and right now we have no idea whether they know defenses like Pelini or not, but Miles does and clearly he thinks that they do.

We, the fans, don't know. Miles does.

Sorry to be dumb about this, but what exactly are the "issues" with Tenuta. A brief search on him was positive.
