Welcome to the SEC you aggies... T-shirt has botched SEC locales COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Which way to the Southeastern Conference? A Texas-based apparel company, Aggieland Outfitters, recalled a handful of T-shirts on Tuesday after they were ridiculed online for having some geographic mistakes. The maroon shirt has an "SEC" logo emblazoned on a United States section map, ostensibly representing members of the league. But North Carolina, which is not in the conference, is on the map. Missouri and Texas, however, are not. Missouri and Texas A&M are both leaving the Big 12 for the SEC this season. The shirt was produced by Aggieland Outfitters, which has three outlets in College Station. A&M spokesman Jason Cook said the company is a private business and not affiliated with the school. Aggieland Outfitters marketing director Dallas Shipp said only "a few dozen" shirts were printed and they've been taken off the shelves and the company's website. He said the original shirt design did not include North Carolina, but when the artist drew the map, it was added by mistake. "We would like to apologize for a T-shirt that has come under fire for its inaccuracies," the company said. "Many members of the media, especially those connected to other schools in Texas, have insinuated that Texas A&M made these shirts, and that Texas A&M doesn't know geography. "That's simply not true. Aggieland Outfitters designed the shirt and simply made a mistake." http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/7825454/aggieland-outfitters-botches-t-shirt-sec-teams
Hey, look at the bright side. At least they realized that the SEC stood for "Southeastern Conference" and not "Southeastern China".
I am having a T-shirt made that says, "You're not new to the game. You've been bad for (insert accurate number) years... The back will say. You suck at geogrpahy too!
Should have a shirt that says, "No matter what conference you're in, the longhorns will be > the aggies".
From Baylorfans.com... I can't wait til the first time that the LSU band plays "Neck" at Kyle Field. Those rednecks are gonna have a heart attack. Hahaha! I have some friends that went to LSU and I attended several games at Tiger Stadium over the past few years. Neck cracks me up and the student section is absolutely wild I remember thinking while I loved the passion of the LSU faithful, I would hate to be their sworn enemy because they are another level. Maybe two levels. And here we have Aggy excited about renewing the game and actually WANTING LSU to be their primary rival. LSU fans are going to make the poking fun we did to A&M while in the Big 12 look like kids play. I can't wait to hear the stories from the A&M crowd following their game in Baton Rouge next year- get your popcorn out
