I've been watching and listening to LSU football for a long, long time. Back to the days of listening to the games on a 50K watt station out of Schreveport to watching the occasional game on TV in B&W.

I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. Though it all, I've remained loyal to our Tigers.

This morning, I feel as bad as I've ever felt after a game. Some of it is a result of the beers that I consumed, but most of it is the result of what I saw for 3 1/2 hours last night.

I can accept getting beat by a better team. I've seen that far too often in 40+ years. What I can't accept is what I saw last night. In front of 100,000+ in Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night in September and in front of a national audience on ESPN we got dominated and embarassed. And I lay it all at the feet of Les Miles, the LSU coaching staff, and our senior leaders assuming we have any.

We deserve better from Les for 4.5 mil a year. Joe Alleva should demand and receive a refund.

Even though I hurt and am embarassed, I'm still a Tiger and will support them as I have for 40+ years.

I don't know. I think Mississippi State was the better team last night. We have been dominating them this entire century and they had a want to end that. LSU was not ready to play, which is Les's responsibility, and the rookies made a lot of rookie mistakes, which will lose us games. Not much we can do about that except watch them learn the game the hard way, and wait for the improvement . . . hopefully this season.

The O-line will have to get us out of this hole.

It's experience laden and was supposed to be our strength, helping the young skill positions players succeed.

Unless that happens, this season is lost.

We certainly can't be punting the ball 8 times per game. That's a recipe for disaster. The defense's best weapon will be an LSU offense that keeps possession of the ball. That certainly didn't come close to happening last night.

I can accept physical mistakes and an occasional mental mistake by a rookie. Hell, I made enough of 'em back in the leather helmet days.

What I can't accept is NOT being prepared to play.

I knew before the start of the season this was going to be a rebulding year. But I could accept it as long as I knew we were getting 100% effort from the coaches and the players. We came out flatter than a pancake. I lay that at the feet of Les and our captains.

Wow. We dropped to #18 in the Coaches poll. 5 one loss teams ahead of us. I didn't expect us to drop that far.

What did you think, that we would beat these guys 25 straight years or something? They aint f'n Tulane. Sooner or later we would field a team just young enough for them to get us. Same goes for if it were Vandy in the West.
Les should just let Harris take over and go out and have some fun with it the rest of the year win or lose. For the experience, knowing we aint winning shit in '14.
With that said, Miles will never sniff another title...
