Not that Donald Trump was absurd... that was a given going in. Not that the moderator (Matt Lauer) would allow Trump to get away with lies and absurdities... these networks desperately want a race and ratings so are normalizing his absurd behavior.... but that the questions, particularly from the audience members, were ridiculous. Look, I don't mean to downplay the medical, mental, and social needs of veterans. But that was more like a bitch session in the company personnel office than a military policy discussion. 'We have to wait six days at the VA for medicine.... many of us are committing suicide... the congressional health plan is better than mine... how are you going to make women and transgenders feel welcome.... what else are you going to do for me?' and on and on and on. They spent most of the night talking about the perqs of making soldiering a career rather than what's truly important about how I or anyone else should choose a Commander in Chief... as in things like "Russia just invaded Crimea, what are you going to do about it?" "We spend far more on our military than any other country. Should that and can that be sustained?" "How will you respond if North Korea builds an ICBM capable of reaching Seattle?" "How will you keep China from invading Taiwan?" But, hey, I guess "hey, Donald, are you going to be a good commander in chief?" suffices for journalism in this new Trump-inspired political paradigm.
Yes it was a joke and DT did himself no good. It's interesting you left out any comment on HRC's performance which the Morning Joe team roundly criticized her performance as equally bad. She couldn't defend her actions any better. What we have here is a dumpster fire and all everyone can do is watch us burn. Sad very sad

Her camp says it was just a reflection from the light. Problem is, with all the powder makeup slopped on her face, the inside of her ear would be matte, not oily or anything that would reflect light. She's wearing one.
