Unless there is some really big news like he is actually leaving for the NFL, he's involved in a sex scandal, been arrested, etc, I would like to make a plea that this thread be the last ever to reference Saban. Dude's been long gone for years, yet we presently have 4 threads related to him. Time to let this one go guys and girls. I realize that the threads are debating about speculative issues, and aren't necessarily about wanting him back or anything like that, but still he garners way too much dialogue on here, especially as the main focus of a thread. F Bama, and F Saban - nothing personal, just simply because they are not LSU or LSU representatives. No more Saban threads, please!
Yeah. It's like an investment. Have to put up some capital to get rewards. Of course, this was supposed to be a bit sarcastic. but it really is silly how much focus Saban still gets here.
He's a successful polarizing head coach at a rival SEC school. He'd be the topic of discussion whether he was our ex-coach or not. See all the past Tuberville, Spurrier, and Meyer, related threads. That said I could do without the constant comparison of Miles to Saban on both sides. Losing to UAB and not having as good an overall record at LSU as Miles does not mean Saban sucked and winning with Saban recruited players does not nullify Miles success. Just because one is a good coach does not mean the other is bad. Wish people would use something other than Saban to try to prove their point either pro or anti Miles.
