You mean like the way Florida tried to stomp on the Eye in the center of Tiger Stadium last year?

    Pics or GTFO!

By the way, you put the words "University of Alabama" and "Respect" in the same sentence...that's laughable.

On the matter of "disrespect" by LSU for pumping their team up in a circle on THEIR side of the field, nowhere near your team or AU Emblem on the 50 yard line...well:

Let me google that for you

    Do some research on disrespect.

I questioned why a flag wasn't thrown as well.

But it doesn't bother me that one wasn't thrown.
All it would have affected, was the box score.
and by that, i mean only the line where Auburn's penalties and yardage are listed.

they would have had 1 more penalty for 15 more yards.
then the game still would have ended with no more snaps being taken, and the score still being what it was.

I'm as big of a homer as they come, but more power to Auburn. They beat the hell out of us. Yes, to our guys' credit we had a shot to win with 7:00 left, but the best team won.

Auburn and Newton were pumped that they wore out a top 10 team. Congrats to them and to Chizik for taking a knee. All things considered I just can't see where Auburn did one iota incorrectly at the end. Let 'em enjoy themselves; they earned it.

IMO anyone making an issue of this is the same as the bitter Tennessee fans who were whining and crying that T-Bob didn't get flagged for taking off and throwing his helmet on the field. What's the difference? It's just sour grapes by losing fans after a beating either way. Some of us need to learn to take our beatings better.

I agree. LSU players perform similar actions to draw attention to themselves. Get over it.

T-Bob's helmet throw was w/o time on the clock. Did PP7 get flagged for his heisman pose? I agreed that auburn beat us and the flagged wouldn't have mattered. My point was everybody saying how classy it was for them to take a knee. But, this was okay. These are our fans, who get one OUR guys for showing off after good plays. It has nothing about getting beat. As a matter of fact instead of posting negatives about our team and coaching staff why dont you take our beatings better. I had a legit question. That was all.

I agree with this. I didn't think you were complaining about it, just wondering why it wasn't called when these sorts of calls are made these days.

FWIW, I don't really like the "celebration" penalties. They're too subjective, and I like to see the players having fun. It's a game after all, and we all know that Miami of the late 80's/early 90's caused rules being written in because they were so over the top with unsportsmanlike behavior.

I would have been insulted if the reaction was no big deal to this game.
Winning this game meant a lot to them as it would have for us. They showed respect by taking a knee. It was a class act. NO problem with team enjoying it. Winning that game put them at #1 in the BCS. Remember both crystal years we had already lost a game by this time.
