According to rivals, a 4 star LB who was committed to Miami....apparently Miami asked him not to take any visits but he refused so UM said he is no longer on their board. Miami has been burned in recent years by late decommitments, so coaches are apparently taking a different approach this year. His only other official to this point has been to LSU...he was at Tenn last weekend but not sure it was an official. He also says he wants to visit UF, South Carolina, and FSU.
My guess is that McCray is second on our board behind Arthur Brown, but that we'd like to take one more LB & it'll be one of these 2 guys.
Now that Arthur Brown is a Miami commit, do we put the full court press on McCray? I'll be happy if we get McCray, but after watching Prater's new film on Rivals I feel a lot better than I did before.
I saw that today too, i was pleasantly impressed....although the kid needs to update his profile pic, it doesnt do him justice and its probably costing him a star :hihi:
Prater's videos were pretty impressive. Which LBs in this class get a RS? Im thinking Theriot is the only one.
Damn I agree wholeheartedly about Prater, should be a strong 4 star verging on 5 star. This guy is relentless and smart. I have not seen linebackers that know how to shed tacklers like that at the high school level. And the burst of speed he seems able to turn on at a moment's notice was breathtaking as well. Good grief, this kid is something to behold. McCray would be the crowning jewel and I think we will go after him hard as is being reported.
I think Theriot very likely gets a RS for a couple reasons. First, he plays QB in HS & will have to adjust to the position more so than the other guys, and secondly RSing him allows more time to find what position he's best suited for.
He should def be a 4* and in the top 100. He is a great all around athlete, hes playing baseball here too.
