LA police teach Marines how to train Afghan police This is just pathetic and another reason why this "war" is un-necessary. We are now training our TRAINED MILITARY to not fight wars but police the grounds. :dis:

Police Training Teams are done by the Army too, all over Afghanistan and Iraq (not sure if it's still currently being done in Iraq, though). The British Army does it too in the 'stan. So it's very widespread.
Did you even read the article you posted? It has absolutely nothing to do with policing the grounds. It has to do with rooting out the Taliban in Afghan towns. Good idea if you ask me, but then again, what do I know? It's not like I'm a Marine or anything....:dis:
The Taliban or Al Qaeda? I forget which we are after. Or maybe it was Bin Laden? The Military is trained for War.
not take notes in class? the taliban harbored al qaeda and al qaeda's leader is bin laden. if the taliban takes back over afghanistan, al qaeda has safe haven and allowed to operated terrorists camps with impunity. al qaeda is responsible for the terrorists who attacked us. they are all kinda inter-related.
I was poking fun at the papers. Al Qaeda doesn't need Afghan. They will just setup shop somewhere else.
To stop the Taliban momentum. At least that is all i have heard Obama say. But then again i have selective hearing.
We're trained for a lot of things. And when the fight is brought into towns, it tends to be a different fight, hence the requirement for such training. C'mon, you're smarter than this.
