No, most Tennessee fans had enough of him when he left. I would be surprised.

Then that would be even more reason to hire him. Recent track record of UT trying to satisfy what their fans think has proven to be an epic fail of immeasurable proportions.

Is he really doing that? Any references? (although I wouldn't doubt at all he WOULD do that)

The only issue is that Coach O will continue to pull the Mcknights out of Louisiana!

I agree with the other posts that Muschamp is the logical hire; on the other hand, all the fans need to do is do drink lots of beer to drown their sorrow, and pee on Kiffen's T shirt that is burning in this fire to show their support of the school:grin:

BTW, is Lance Thompson still at Tennessee? or did he move to somewhere?

I've noticed a common thread between douchebag coaches. They use two words. It's Time.

I dont see Muschamp going to Tennessee. Contrary to what the Vols think (they believe their job is top 5 in the country) that is a very, very tough place to be a college football coach. Recruiting to Tennessee is probably the most difficult place in the country for a top flight school. Their in-state talent sucks, they have to go national and use South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, etc as their recruiting base. They dont have the luxury we do of having top flight talent in state or in their back yard like USC does. Orgeron has made it perfectly clear to all his coaching buddies just how difficult it is to recruit to Tennessee and its reverberated through the coaching community. Muschamp knows this and so do all the other potential candidates. They are going to have to pay a high profile coach top dollar to get him to take on that monumental challenge or find a second tier guy who wants to prove himself.

They weren't exactly lighting things up before that, they were merely surviving. It was time for a change at Tennessee the problem is they picked someone like Lame Lane.

He is but my gump contacts tell me he was miserable there and wanting out ASAP. Not sure if he fits into Kiffin's USC plan but we'll see.
