One of the best of all time. To have the sense to get that ball over the endzone line and keep possession while kissing your own ass in a pretzel position, was unreal.
He was flipped nearly upside down while keeping possession of the ball reaching for the endzone; that play was HUGE.
whats funny about that catch is that anywhere else on the field other than the goal line, and that is an incomplete pass.
If you watch the replay, though, the defender put a hand on the back of Moore's upper thigh while he was down, with control and the ball over the end line. At that point, he's down with a completed catch. I think it's a catch anywhere on the field. Not to argue, just some food for thought. btw, "kissing your own ass in a pretzel", nice!
Definitely I think ppl are forgetting about this play. Also I really wouldn't have mind maybe Co-MVPs Tracy Porter and Brees really think TP deserves alot of credit this post season with picking off Favre and Manning.
probably not in today's game. we were saying it wouldnt be a catch because of the stupid rules. every weekend I see a similar play called a non-catch. luckily the rules arent the same for the endzone. if he wouldnt have bobbled it and regained control it would have been incomplete. makes no sense really. also with this super slo-mo I wonder if the rules are going to have to be adjusted since one millisecond of control looks like a catch. the entire move by moore in real time happens in less than a second. i also liked that colston catch out of bounds where he held onto the ball similar to the prothro catch -- changed hands with it behind the defender's back and the ball never moved. (was good to see him settle down since he struggled against minni and yesterday dropped that early pass for a first down) great plays all around. shockeys on that slant wasnt too bad either.
When you're upside down you usually lose all of you equilibrium. To have the awareness to poke the ball backwards over the goal before hitting the ground was amazing. Definitely one of the games big plays.
