I noted a mention of it in a recruiting blog on the AJC web site, but nothing more. Would be interesting, but I think LSU just stays on the sidelines and watches or at least they should. ldskule:
i hope its true too. that would be a major embarrassment for kiffie. but i dont think he will just roll over and let the kid go. i would love to see tenn implode from this. thats exactly what lsu should do. anything else looks like sour grapes. myles knows lsu wanted him and his family can quietly get the word we still do if the offer is still there.
Good info Tirk, LG is a scumbag for this. He has a grudge against LSU for not offering him a job. He wants to talk about coat tails. How about the father riding the coattails of the son, trying to land a job. Now thats how your ride coattails. He has screwed himself up and when Tenn shows him their azzes. He will get the picture. If JJ is going to Tenn with this doing whats best for me attitude, he will be bagging groceries at your local A&P in about 2 years. D. Myles Jr, should be disgusted with the self dealing of LG and JJ. Also he using D. Benton as an excuse, although the excuse shouldn't have been provided. POS
What's funny is the fact that most don't seem mad at Janzen Jackson himself but at his dad for intentionally trying to screw over LSU by his outright lies about him wanting his son to keep his word, about being solidly commited to LSU, just to protect him from the process of recruiting. Are we supposed to forget that without that process Mr. Guidry would have had zero chance to parlay his son's abilities into upward coaching mobility. We'll see next year or so when UT hires him to coach his son. What a pimp daddy!
It's so wierd to my ears hearing talk about these turncoats of coaching from Louisiana (ie O, Guidry, Curtis) and a former beloved player (Bobby Hebert) still hold any credibility with anyone in the state. We should not be fearing what they could do next, and the kids should (in a perfect world) have it ingrained in their moral fiber to keep as far away from these creeps as possible. I have no doubt they're already in the ear of Trovon Reed (our top in-state prospect from Thibodaux) now, with O and Hebert being from the Thibodaux area. God, I hope the kid knows these guys for what they are. (BTW, I added Bobby Hebert in there because apparently he, being friends with O, led the masses to believe O was about to coach at LSU when only days later he, again, showed his distain for everything meaningful to Louisianians by signing with Tennessee). Prospects should be more mindful of things said by like Sean Payton being relieved O is out of New Orleans and the failed tenures of O at Ole Miss and Kiffen at Oakland. These guys marks have been made in recruiting, not coaching. Don't trust these guys! They aren't on looking out for anything Louisiana except the food!:geaux:
Sounds like a bunch of idiots working together. Can't wait for the UT implosion.... :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
Considering that Bobby's son is on the team I don't think I would lump him into this group. I think bobby wants LSU to do well as much as anyone.
agreed, hebert was just acting on the info that he was told, not trying some cloak and dagger stuff to eff over LSU.
