LaMont Jordan's Generosity

has helped Oakland tremendously, as they signed Rhodes today.

Jordan trimmed a few million off of his guaranteed money last week to help the Raiders go after free agents.

 

Really nice and surprising move by a relatively young guy...especially a Raiders player.

 

I wonder if they told him it would be to sign another running back. And chances are they renegotiated because they said something like, "Let's redo this deal or we'll cut you."

 

from what I understand, he volunteered to do it.

 

It's a perfectly sensible move for both Jordan and Rhodes, as neither has thrived as "the guy" but have been VERY good in a tandem RB situation.

 

Shows how important winning is to him. Gotta like the unselfisness in these times and such a "Team" attitude.
