I predicted we would win the West in '09, and that was WITH Lafell. I doubt we could win 10 games without him next year. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
My biggest ? was the help JJ would get in the passing game. Guys like Benton and Randle could make an impact, but to be able to rely on a senior that is one of the top 3 receivers in the nation, that's a huge lift for JJ's psyche.
Great news! Now it's all up to Gary Crowton to make this thing work. All of the pieces are there and I have an extraordinary amount of confidence that Crowton will have this offense where it needs to be. :geauxtige
:geaux: LaFell, Black and Scott all coming back is huge. Just think about what we'd be looking at had all three gone pro in addition to losing Helms and Big Herm to graduation. That would've been a pretty grim scenario, IMO. Thankfully all that didn't happen and the offense looks to be setting up pretty well for '09.:thumb: :LSU231:
I kind of had the feeling he would change his mind when an article I read said he didn't hire an agent. That told me he was still undecided and didn't want to make a full committment.
Had Les Miles blasted LaFell for declaring for the draft by saying it was a bad decision...do you think Brandon would've come back? I'm thinking............NO. Petey Carroll is considered a genius and Miles a dumbass by some...but we see who made the better coaching move this week.
