Pretty close but a "Gun Trust" can be set up and you can put the kids, in-laws, etc on it. I'm not positive but don't think fingerprinting everyone is required. I don't have any but would like one for my .22 ruger pistol for when I pull up a net full of non-target turtles that I need to dispatch. Currently I use a hand-held hatchet but it can make a bloody mess, mate. I could (and have) carry a set of ear muffs but they're a pain in the ass. Have used disposable ear plugs too. Since I recently took up hunting pigs from a stand I did buy a set of ear muffs for hearing protection that you can hear with. Paid 100 buck for a set of Peltor. They cut off sound above a certain decibel level but they run on batteries- which don't last long when you're spending hours in a tree- and they are another thing to haul in an already limited range of things a deer/pig hunter has to haul in the woods.
I said it quite clearly. It will prevent much of it and that is worth doing something rather than nothing. I can say it again, if you like. In other words, you got nuthin' more to say. I understand.
Both of us own weapons and know where they are at all times. Are we not responsible without state supervision? You can do your own history research.
Apples and oranges. I'm not talking about personal choices regarding gun safety. We are not legally responsible without registration. Big difference between depending on people to do the right thing and requiring a gun to have a responsible legal owner. It would stop a lot of stolen gun sales, ease police investigations, and protect law-abiding citizens.
