That's a lot of words to say that you're irresponsible and apathetic.

Off topic a little but here is a question. Syria has had a public uprising aginst the dictatorship there. It is no secret that the USA and Syria are at odds. Do you think that the CIA has had anything to do with this ? Just as the syrians have meddeled in iraqs politics do you think were returning the favor? Iran may be next to have people in the streets again. Do you think that we are involved in these events covertly or should we be?

No. The Arab Spring caught US intelligence by surprise.

We will exploit any Syrian weakness.

Yes, but we must be careful. They are very nationalistic. We must foment division amongst them and not drive them together by being perceived as an enemy of islam or an enemy of Iran. We don't have to do much but wait in Iran. it's going to crumble from within. So may Syria and Yemen.

We need to to less of trying to support or instigate revolutions and more trying to get ready to deal with who comes next from a position of strength and moral advantage. Yes the CIA will be gathering intelligence, but not covertly making war.

What specific agency is behind it I have no idea but it seems to me quite likely that the rolling democracy movement will end up causing issues in Iran. So, yes, at some level I would bet the West is involved. For the record, I think Al Qaeda is a CIA creation.

Do I think we should be involved? Actually, yes....we should but I disagree with the foreign policy goals we have so I don't think it will help us in the long run.
