What's a damn shame is that these people place no value at all on the lives of the people they so easly kill. Someone burned a book so that means that some innocent person, that has a family that loves him and people that count on him, has to die. These are the same people that blow themselves up in schools full of young girls because they want to learn to read. Evil is the only word I can think of to describe this.

Fugg no! Why didn't you recycle them to some book barn? Or at least recycle them to a paper recycling place. Filling a landfill with them is irresponsible bookmanship of the first order. Odin will split your skull for this blasphemy.

books are heavy i cant be lugging them all around to donate them (no car). i can barely get them down my stairs and outside to the dumpster. by not donating them i help the publishing industry by not flooding the market with used books, thereby creating jobs.

If you burn the Koran I'll buy you a beer. Burn the American Flag and I'll personally whip your ass.

Lame-ass, lazy-ass excuse. You bought them in small quantities, so you can dispose of them in small quantities. I suspect you are closer to a used bookstore, or a recycle bin than I am. You are an amazingly irresponsible reader.

Do you own a phone? Many reputable charities will come pick up your donation if you call and ask. Or you could have donated to a public school or library (I assume you are not reading smut). Probably tax deductible, and a private donation means fewer tax dollars needed from the federal government.

    Where there's a will, there's a way.

there is not a will, i just dont care about that stuff, i just have clutter to get rid of so i throw it away.

plus as far as i am concerned, physical books are dead. you can digitize and burn all of em for all i care.

Well then, I declare this phase of the thread to be dead. There's no debate for "I just don't care."
